Moolo

Moolo is a social platform designed to help people rediscover spontaneous encounters from everyday life.
The project explores moments where connections feel meaningful but exchanging contact details is impractical, such as on a train, at an event, or in passing. By allowing users to revisit places and moments they have previously been in, Moolo offers a second chance to reconnect through context rather than profiles alone. The experience is centered around an interactive map that turns proximity and shared presence into the foundation of social interaction.

Key outcomes

Moolo explores how privacy-aware interaction design can enable social discovery without exposing sensitive personal data.
The concept introduces features such as a spontaneous ghost mode, permanent safe zones where users are always invisible, and intentionally imprecise location signals that communicate context rather than exact position. These mechanisms investigate how trust, control, and perceived safety can be treated as first-class design parameters in location-based social platforms.
